| About the MOU |
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) promotes the principle of
consultation between the Province of Ontario and AMO whenever the
Province proposes statutory or regulatory changes that have significant
impact on municipal budgets.

Minister John Gerretsen presented AMO
President Roger Anderson a mounted copy of Bill 92. Bill
92, passed into law in June as the Municipal Law Amendment Act
2005, is legislation that enshrines in law the Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with AMO and the principle of consultation on issues
that affect municipalities. [2005] |
