The Main Street Revitalization Initiative is coming to an end. All Main Street projects must have their eligible costs spent by March 31, 2020. Once you have completed spending, please complete your final report and consider communications activities to promote the project and the funding provided by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs.

Note: Please review your insurance certificate’s expiration and send renewed insurance certificates as your municipality renews its insurance each year.

Annual Report Template & Guidelines
  • Dowload a template and guidelines to complete the Annual Report due May 15, 2020. This report covers the period April 1, 2018 – March 31, 2020. Please review the guidelines prior to completing the template.
  • The completed Annual Report must be sent to by May 15th, 2020.
  • Please note that by submitting the completed template, the Municipal Treasurer is affirming compliance with the terms of the Municipal Funding Agreement.
  • Also note that some municipalities may be contacted by AMO staff following submission of the final report to allow a third party audit of Main Street activities.
Project Communications
  • AMO strongly encourages municipalities to promote Main Street Revitalization Initiative projects to acknowledge support from the Government of Ontario.
  • Attached to this email is a short Communications Toolkit document that can be used to support promotions of Main Street projects.
  • Municipalities must notify AMO at least five business days in advance of planned media events or announcements. AMO will contact OMAFRA to facilitate government participation, if requested.
