The City of London participated in FCM’s Head Start program, an initiative to encourage young women to actively participate in civic issues and politics.
As a result of the City of London's extensive consultation with young women, the City engaged web.isod.es to produce a documentary film to be released this fall. The purpose of the film is to address the underrepresentation of women in political seats across municipal, provincial and federal tables.

I want to share the release of the trailer for the documentary 25%. We’ve created a website www.25percent.ca to host the trailer, which invites people to sign up to be notified when the full documentary is released. Starting today, we will be using the twitter hashtag #25pct.

When the documentary is complete, our goal is to see the film used by educators across the country to address this important issue and encourage young women to get involved.

Adam Caplan and Kai Jarmain from web.isod.es produced the trailer and continue to edit the film. Their work is outstanding. I would also ask for your assistance in sharing the trailer with colleagues, friends, family and followers.

Please visit www.25percent.ca to watch the trailer, and stay tuned for the full documentary in the fall.

Thank you for your support. I think we can all be very proud of this project.

Warm regards,
Mayor Joni Baechler
