WASTE DIVERSION IN ONTARIO

The Association of Municipalities of Ontario will run a special advertising insert in papers across Ontario in November to educate the public about the province’s mounting garbage woes.

Our goal with these ads was to inspire thought about the waste that we all create (AMO included) so that we can all do something about it. These ads are printed and paid for by Ontario’s newspapers.  In Ontario, newspapers compensate municipalities for recycling and waste disposal costs by offering free advertising. AMO gets one free advertising insert per year as part of this arrangement. Each paper controls how they deliver the ads that AMO creates.
