
Investment Education Session – What all municipalities should
know!
MFOA and LAS are pleased to partner in offering a NEW one-day seminar
designed to help municipal staff and elected officials develop / refresh
your understanding of the investment op¬tions available to Ontario
municipalities. The sessions will include a review of available
municipal investment tools, market commentary related to investment
options, discussion of investment strategies, and an overview of
available educational resources for the public sector.
This seminar is designed for municipal staff (new and
veteran) in the areas of administration and finance, as well as elected
officials, who are inter¬ested in enhancing their understanding of
investment options for municipalities as well as their local boards and
committees.
This session should also be considered by administrators and finance
officials of conservation authorities, DSSABs, and other organizations
within Ontario’s broader public sector.
- Dates for 2010 to be announced soon. More than 135 persons
attended the 5 sessions offered in 2009.
The cost for each session is $190 (plus
GST).
