Beware of Scams

Alert symbol Hotel Booking Scams

Neither AMO staff nor our legitimate hotel partners are authorized to solicit attendees with regard to room bookings and accommodation.

In the past few years a number of delegates, exhibitors and sponsors have been approached by companies saying they have access to rooms at AMO's blocked hotels. For peace of mind and the guarantee of receiving a hotel room at AMO rates and with a hotel approved cancellation policy we encourage all Conference participants to book your guest rooms using the links provided on the Guest Room Booking Policy page. AMO can not be held responsible for any hotel room reservations made through such channels.

Should you choose to use alternate sites such as Expedia, Hotels.com or National Travel Associates we cannot guarantee your reservation or assist with troubleshooting your booking.

Alert symbolExhibitor and Sponsor Scams

We have been notified by some exhibitors that they have been approached by scammers pretending to be AMO staff or representing AMO selling exhibitor packages and trying to collect exhibitor payments.
Please note that the Exhibitor form is available on our site. The form should be sent directly to "events@amo.on.ca" email only. If you are ever unsure whether communications have come from AMO, please do not hesitate to check with us.

You can help stop these scammers by reporting any suspicious activities so we can advise other exhibitors. And remember, never provide financial information to any company you deem suspicious.

AMO will not assume responsibility for payments made resulting from fraudulent activity.
