Message from AMO President, Jamie McGarvey

For the more than 2000 people attending the conference, thank you.  There was a great deal of positive feedback on the breadth and variety of the topics.  The 70 learning sessions benefited from the insights and experiences of almost 200 speakers.  For those who had to make a difficult decision, choosing between the concurrent workshops, or you didn’t get to attend, please check out the conference proceedings below.  The Premier and other leaders and the Ministers’ Forum videos are posted along with those of the main stage keynote speakers.  AMO’s mission is to provide value to its membership and to keep you up to date on matters that affect municipal governments.  The annual conference is but one of the ways we do this.  Your best source for keeping up to date on training opportunities, policy positions, infrastructure program information and provincial and federal government activities that affect you?  Bookmark the AMO website.  Check it out regularly. Importantly, keep an eye out for our communications for urgent updates.  I look forward to serving as the Association’s President and working with your  Board of Directors.

Alert symbolIn the past few years a number of delegates, exhibitors and sponsors have been approached by companies saying they have access to rooms at AMO's blocked hotels. For peace of mind and the guarantee of receiving a hotel room at AMO rates and with a hotel approved cancellation policy we encourage all Conference participants to book your guest rooms using the links provided on the Guest Room Booking Policy page. Should you choose to use alternate sites such as Expedia, or National Travel Associates we cannot guarantee your reservation or assist with troubleshooting your booking.
