Notarius issues and manages trusted digital signatures. This cyber security initiative is designed to protect the public and enable professionals to sign electronic documents with the same legal value as a paper document signed by hand.

Used by more than 30 professional associations in Canada, over 800 companies and thousands of professionals across the world, Notarius’ digital signature certificates are a secure, effective and economical solution that is now an integral part of many trades, professions and organizations.


In January 2018, AMO and Notarius launched a Digital Signature pilot to test digital signing solutions to determine benefits, challenges, opportunities, and improvements that may be required of a broader service for the membership. In November, 2018, AMO hosted a Town Hall webinar where all of the pilots presented their experiences using the solutions. Over 100 participants learned how Notarius digital signatures were implemented and tested by the pilots.


Digital TransformationIn 2016, AMO formed a Digital Government Task Force to provide input to the provincial government on digital government transformation, recognizing the potential for impacts to municipal governments and the broader public sector. Case StudyDuring a presentation of Notarius’ solutions, AMO announced that it was launching a digital transformation pilot project and that all of Ontario’s municipalities were invited to participate. During the presentation, the United Counties of Prescott and Russell discovered that Notarius’ solutions are exceptionally user-friendly, which convinced them to participate in the pilot project.
