Social media is both powerful and dangerous in times of crisis. You can provide critical updates in real-time, but just as easily create confusion and add to the chaos. The key is to include social media in your crisis communications plan so that you’re not scrambling to create content in a high-pressure situation. Creating Compelling Content - April 1, 2020 (Date Change from March 25)

With thousands of social media posts issued every second, competition for your audience’s attention is fierce. We’ll draw on plenty of real-life examples to illustrate the type of content that is shared versus posts that fall flat. This session will include tips on writing for social media, the importance of plain language, taking good photos and videos, and how to navigate live streaming.
