Municipal Energy Symposium



Dates: March 31 and April 1, 2022 - 9:00 am – 12:30 pm


The Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and the Local Authority Services (LAS) are excited to host a two-day virtual Municipal Energy Symposium.

This symposium will discuss the intersection of climate change, land use planning, and energy. Learn about municipal responsibilities in the context of post-COP26 and explore examples of how municipalities are planning for the future and what this means to daily operations.

Sessions will run as a series of panels or single speakers on both days from 9:00am - 12:30pm. This is a chance for attendees to hear from experts on their perspectives/projects, ask questions, and gain insight into issues affecting municipal energy and climate change. 


Registration Information

Symposium cost: $275 plus taxes

Registration cut-off: Monday, March 28 at noon

Please note all cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to Cancellations received prior to 4:00 pm ET, March 24, 2022 will be eligible for a refund less $50.00 (plus HST) administration fee. Cancellations made after 4:00 pm are non-refundable. An alternate attendee name may be substituted at any time.

Call for Proposals

The Municipal Energy Symposium is an opportunity for municipalities to showcase innovation and initiative in addressing climate change and municipal energy and how they have been applied to daily operations.

Presentations will be key to supporting municipal colleagues as they look for practical solutions to address some of the most pressing issues of our time. Presentations should be delivered by municipal representatives, partner organizations and/or associations. Sales promotions will not be considered.  All submissions will be reviewed by the Municipal Energy Symposium Planning Committee.
