Food & Organic Waste Program

The Food & Organic Waste Statement created by the Province in April 2018 remains in effect. The Policy Statement includes requirements for municipalities to build organics diversion systems, depending on density and size. Municipalities should read the Policy Statement thoroughly to consider how, if at all, the rules will affect them and by when.
