Senior Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the City Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer, the Senior Accountant is a professional accounting position responsible for the City’s corporate financial reporting, financial statement and audit coordination, Financial Information Return (FIR), general ledger integrity, accounting standards implementation and financial systems modernization. The position works closely with the Deputy Treasurer on complex accounting and statutory reporting matters and provides senior technical leadership to the Financial Services Division.
