Neil Garbe Biography

Neil Garbe is the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of New Tecumseth in Simcoe County. He is a proven contributor at AMO, having served as the Employee Representative to the Large Urban Caucus (2018–2020). During his previous term, he provided an employer perspective to AMO discussions and helped inform the Province’s review of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).
With more than 30 years of municipal experience across single-tier and upper-tier governments, and in communities of varying size, Neil brings broad operational and strategic leadership. His career includes planning and senior administrative roles with the former City of Chatham, York Region, Aurora, Richmond Hill, and Oakville, as well as his current role in New Tecumseth. He is committed to public service and to supporting councils through sound advice, strong governance, and effective municipal administration.
