Robbie Shepley Biography

Robbie Shepley serves as Deputy Mayor for the Town of Essex and brings extensive experience in municipal governance, public health, utilities, and financial oversight. He currently serves as a Director on the boards of the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority (EWSWA) and the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU), where he is also a member of the Governance Standing Committee.
Robbie previously served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of E.L.K. Energy Inc. and played an active role in the successful sale of the utility. He currently serves as Chair of the Town of Essex Finance Committee, Vice Chair of the Town of Essex Personnel Committee, and is a member of the Windsor Canada Utilities Ltd./E.L.K. Energy Inc. Advisory Committee.
Through these leadership roles, Robbie has gained valuable experience in municipal finance, infrastructure, public services, governance, and regional collaboration. He is committed to advocating for practical solutions, strong municipal partnerships, and effective, accountable local government that delivers results for communities across Ontario. As Deputy Mayor of the Town of Essex and a member of Essex County Council, Robbie has firsthand experience addressing the challenges facing Ontario's small urban and rural municipalities, including infrastructure, housing, municipal finances, emergency services, and economic development.
