Steve Travale Biography
Steve Travale is an active community member and Councillor in the Municipality of Brockton. He is running in the 2026 municipal election to continue serving rural constituents with dedication and enthusiasm. For those same reasons, he is seeking to join the AMO Rural Caucus.
In addition to his position on Council, Steve has professional experience serving two rural municipalities - South Bruce and Huron-Kinloss - in roles spanning communications, community engagement, and, most recently, strategic initiatives. Serving in both staff and council roles gives Steve a unique perspective and enables him to understand the full range of issues impacting rural communities across Ontario. He has also worked within both the federal and provincial parliamentary offices, experiences that would bring value to the AMO Rural Caucus.
Steve’s professional experience, combined with a range of volunteer commitments throughout the region - including through his Kinsmen Club, church, local fundraisers, and the 2026 International Plowing Match committees - has allowed him to build positive, respectful, and impactful relationships with ratepayers, municipal staff, and council leaders across many rural communities in Southwestern and Midwestern Ontario.
He is committed to being an accessible and active representative for rural communities, focused on addressing emerging challenges while also seizing meaningful opportunities that strengthen the fabric of small-town, agricultural, and rural municipalities across the province.
Steve is confident that his energy, political acumen, and passion for local decision-making and community building will be valuable assets to the AMO Board of Directors and to rural municipalities he seeks to represent throughout Ontario. Connect with Steve at 226-222-1856 or stravale@brockton.ca
