AMO is offering the first two modules of Local Leadership Foundations live and in person at the conference hotel the day before ROMA opens as a New Councillor Day.

• Module 1: Governing in Practice
• Module 2: Making Decisions

Saturday, January 23, 2027, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with lunch included, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto.

Registration

New Councillor Day is offered by AMO alongside the ROMA conference and has its own registration.

Sign up through Local Leadership Foundations registration:

• Early bird price: $550 for the two modules when you register by December 18, 2026. ($650 regular).
• Limited $150 first come first served bursaries are available to AMO members.
• You can also sign up for the day as part of the full Learning Series.
• Group rates are not available for this session.
